Cypress advised Zilor on a fundraising operation of R$100 million through the BNDES Renova Bio loan program.
The initiative is pioneer in the sector, becoming the first Sustainability Linked Loan of the bank, and aims to further the use of renewable fuels in the Brazilian energy matrix through the development of the biofuels sector.
The program is in line with Zilor’s commitment to the best environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
The proceeds will be committed to the Barra Grande unit, in Lençóis Paulista, and applied towards improving the energy-environmental efficiency of the plant’s operations.
